TAILGATE DETECTION SYSTEMS
Tailgating occurs when access is granted to a single person but more than one person enters the secured area. Tailgating occurs both intentionally and unintentionally, for example when someone politely holds a secure door open for the next person.
Our tailgate detectors increase the level of security at controlled doors and ensure that only one person enters the secured area for each valid card presented. Using directional sensor arrays, our tailgate detectors determine the number of entries and the direction of each passage. Unauthorized passages are annunciated locally and with the access control system.
